How do I establish my pet as a patient with Salt Creek Veterinary?
Text us anytime at 912-231-7127 to set up an appointment or email us at info@saltcreekveterinary.com
Vaccine and medical history help us make the most comprehensive care recommendations for your pet. Records can be e-mailed to us at info@saltcreekveterinary.com. It is best if we can get not only vaccination records, but detailed medical notes, lab results and medications your pet is or has been on. Alternatively, give us your previous veterinarian’s contact information and we will be happy to request your records for you!
How do I prepare for my pet’s vet visit at home?
We perform all services in your home or office. We recommend having cats confined to a carrier or small room to prevent them from getting frightened and hiding in an inaccessible space. If your dog is aggressive toward strangers, we recommend they be on a leash or confined to another area so that we can assess behavior and determine the best approach to treatment. Good lighting and room to move around is helpful, but we are pretty flexible in our spaces and prefer that the pet be in a space that makes him or her most comfortable.
What is your service area?
Currently we provide services in Savannah, Pooler, Rincon, Wilmington Island, Tybee Island, Skidaway Island, and Isle of Hope. If you do not see your locale on the list, contact us to see if you are within our service area.
Can I call the clinic for a diagnosis over the phone?
Established clients with pets that have been seen by Dr. Bartlett within the past year can arrange for a telemedicine consultation through phone, text or video chat.
Can I just get refills of medications or preventatives for my pet without a visit?
Yes, we do require a patient-doctor relationship in order to fill medications for your pet, which means we need to see your pet at least every year. This ensures we know you, your pets, and what is best for them to be taking in the way of preventatives and medications. No preventative or medication is without its possible side effects, and we want to make the safest and most complete recommendations.
