Salt Creek Veterinary’s goal is to be able to provide individual compassionate care to each and every patient in a low-stress, comfortable environment. This includes integrating treatments and therapy that fall within the pet owner’s comfort level and abilities. Your pet’s care team includes both a veterinarian and a licensed veterinary technician (LVT). Some follow-ups may involve just the veterinarian or the technician, depending on the services needed.
Growing up on a farm in central Georgia, Samantha watched and participated first-hand in the individual care that veterinarians provided to her family's animals. This relationship was what drove her to pursue her own calling in veterinary medicine. After working in different clinics under different practice philosophies, Samantha finally came to the conclusion that her ideal of the veterinarian-client-patient relationship fostered on the farm in her youth was not possible in today’s numbers-driven practices. She wanted to be able to spend enough time with her patients and their owners to understand what is truly going on underneath the surface – to not only treat the symptoms but to address the underlying causes. She also hates to see a pet so terrified of the vet visit that he visibly shakes even when no one is touching him. We all know stress is horrible for health and healing – why put our pets through more than necessary?
Being able to work with a patient in his or her home setting where they are confident and relaxed not only makes it easier on the emotional state of the patient, but also helps the medical team see how they really are and get a better understanding of how the external factors of a patient’s life affect the internal. Bringing veterinary visits to the home also gives time to make a more holistic plan of action for each patient encompassing any and all areas including diet, exercise, medications and alternative medicine treatments
Kiley's unwavering love for animals has been evident throughout her life. Instead of desiring a car, like most teenagers on their 16th birthday, she welcomed her first dog, Dude, into the world.
Following graduation from college with a B.A.A in Commercial Recreation and Facilities Management, she made a surprising decision to join the Army.
However, as she embarked on her Basic Training journey, a heart-wrenching moment unfolded when her beloved dog had to be put down. In that moment, she made a solemn promise to honor Dude's memory by becoming a Veterinary Technician.
After her retirement from the U.S. Army, Kiley pursued her goal and earned her Veterinary Technician degree, becoming a licensed professional in the field.
Presently, Kiley's home is filled with the warmth and love of three dogs and five cats, all of whom are rescues. She also extends her compassion by fostering animals whenever she can.
In her spare time, Kiley has engaged in sports, such as Semi-Professional football and Roller Derby. Additionally, she remains a loyal supporter of the Detroit Lions, passionately cheering them on every season.
We offer comprehensive preventive care options for your pets including yearly or twice-yearly exams, canine and feline core vaccinations, heartworm testing, intestinal parasite testing, prescriptions for parasite prevention and nutritional advice.
Dr. Bartlett maintains accreditation with the United States Department of Agriculture so that she is able to complete certificates for both interstate and international travel. If you are planning an international trip, contact us as soon as possible so we can provide you with a list of requirements for your destination and timeline for completion.
Integrative medicine involves mixing western medical practices with other modalities of medicine. At Salt Creek Veterinary, we integrate acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and lifestyle changes to give your pet a more well-rounded treatment regimen.
As a mobile veterinary service, we do not have a comprehensive in-house lab. However, we have a relationship with several outside laboratories ensuring we can do almost any laboratory test at the best price possible.
We can help your pet with minor illnesses such as ear infections, skin infections and allergies, diarrhea, upper respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, arthritis pain, anal gland impactions, and minor wounds and injuries.
We can perform exams and monitor appropriate laboratory measurements for chronic illnesses such as hyperadrenocorticism, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease among others.
We can perform humane euthanasia in your home and can handle all after-care for you including cremation, pawprints and return of your pet's ashes if desired. If you are just not sure if it is time, we are available to help you know when to make that decision and keep your pet as comfortable as possible until that time comes.
Because of our house call format, we are unable to guarantee same-day appointments or provide emergency services, x-rays, ultrasounds, surgeries or hospitalizations. If your pet is extremely ill, we will likely advise you to take him to a full-service veterinary clinic so that he can get the best care in a timely fashion. Once your pet is stabilized, we can then help with follow-up care.

How do I establish my pet as a patient with Salt Creek Veterinary?
Text us anytime at 912-231-7127 to set up an appointment or email us at info@saltcreekveterinary.com
Vaccine and medical history help us make the most comprehensive care recommendations for your pet. Records can be e-mailed to us at info@saltcreekveterinary.com. It is best if we can get not only vaccination records, but detailed medical notes, lab results and medications your pet is or has been prescribed. Alternatively, give us your previous veterinarian’s contact information and we will be happy to request your records for you!
How do I prepare for my pet’s vet visit at home?
We perform all services in your home or office. We recommend having cats confined to a carrier or small room to prevent them from getting frightened and hiding in an inaccessible space. If your dog is aggressive toward strangers, we recommend they be on a leash or confined to another area so that we can assess behavior and determine the best approach to treatment. Good lighting and room to move around is helpful, but we are pretty flexible in our spaces and prefer that the pet be in a space that makes him or her most comfortable.
What is your service area?
Currently we provide services in Savannah, Pooler, Rincon, Wilmington Island, Tybee Island, Skidaway Island, and Isle of Hope. If you do not see your locale on the list, contact us to see if you are within our service area.
Can I call the clinic for a diagnosis over the phone?
Established clients with pets that have been seen by Dr. Bartlett within the past year can arrange for a telemedicine consultation through phone, text or video chat.
Can I just get refills of medications or preventatives for my pet without a visit?
Yes, we do require a patient-doctor relationship in order to fill medications for your pet, which means we need to see your pet at a minimum of once a year. Some conditions may require more frequent exams. This ensures we know you, your pets, and what is best for them to be taking in the way of preventatives and medications. No preventative or medication is without its possible side effects, and we want to make the safest and most complete recommendations.
How much will my visit cost me?
In general, our fees are pretty competitive with other clinics in the area. There is a charge for travel time that varies on your location. We can provide you with an estimate of the visit ahead of time. It helps if we have prior vaccine history and preventive care records for wellness visits and complete medical history for pets that are sick or when managing chronic illness. The more we know about your pet’s previous care and current issues, the more accurate the estimate will be. Please understand this is an estimate and treatment plans may change once we examine your pet.
What Payment Options do you offer?
At our clinic we strive to be very forthcoming regarding how much our services will cost you to reach a plan you are comfortable with financially. We are not able to offer payment plans, holding checks, or billing services. Payment is due when services are rendered. We accept check, cash, Venmo, Credit or Debit (MC, Visa, Amex, Discover) for payment. We also accept Care Credit. If you plan to use Care Credit, please inform us prior to the visit so that we can be prepared to process your information more efficiently at the time of payment. For more information on getting approved, please visit CareCredit.com.
What services do you offer?
We can provide routine wellness services such as vaccinations, laboratory tests (next-day results), microchipping, health certificates for travel, acupuncture, herbal medicine, minor illness and injury, and home euthanasia.
What services are NOT offered by Salt Creek Veterinary?
As a house call provider, we do have limitations on the services we can provide. We cannot offer same-day blood chemistries, emergency visits, hospitalization, surgeries, x-rays or ultrasound.
